Thanks to the staff for making us so welcome and to everyone who came to see us at Morrisons, its always great meeting you and thanks to your generous donations7 we raised £298.95 We are very grateful for all the food which is donated into our collection bins in shops and supermarkets throughout Fife, we couldnt get by without your kindness and generosity - thank you, but with so many cats to feed we need to place more collection bins so if you have a shop, or know of a shop who would be happy to have one please let us know, our most recent bins are in Morrisons & Glamis Centre Spar in Glenrothes, the Morrison's food box has been fantastic of late, thank you to staff and customers! The January 2009 free neutering campaign was very successful last year. Vouchers to assist with costs are still available this year. In 2010 we have helped neuter a total of 303 cats so far. We rely on the kindness and generosity of donations. When tax payers tick the Gift Aid box when donating, we get an extra 28p for every pound. It doesnt cost you anything and it is the equivalent of an extra foil tray of catfood for us! Join our group on facebook- North East Fife Cats Protection and share cat chat and photos Childrens author Alison Wilkerson has generously offered to donate profits from her book The Adventures of Tabby Cat (the rescue cat) to cats protection, Alison is a dedicated cat lover and her own rescued cats inspired this sweet story, you can purchase the book from www.authorhouse.co.uk We are very grateful to animal communicator Kerry Hornett for the help she gives us with some of our rescued cats. In 2007 a group of our volunteers attended an Animal Communication Workshop, organised by one of our foster carers, with James French & Kerry Hornett. Some of us were very cynical at first but it really was amazing! We have had some impressive results, read more on the success stories page or visit Kerry's website www.linkwithspirit.co.uk . We really need more volunteers, and 'indoor fosterers' who can care for a cat in their home, any help would be really welcome, please see the support us page for details. Interestingly, our homing statistics show that ginger cats are the least popular here in East Fife. So come on, dont discriminate against the gingers! A good cat is never a bad colour and finally... Little Joe has been chosen to feature in the next UK wide fundraising pack! we are delighted that one of The East Neuk of Fife cats was picked, you can read about Joe on the Success Stories page
